Simon

I have not really been in the blogging frame of mind. I am not sure why, but I just haven't been motivated. I actually still don't really want to be doing this, but a tiny bit of me (apparently my fingers) is taking over. I certainly have had plenty to blog about. I had my 33rd birthday last Tuesday and have been enjoying lots of fun surprises ever since. I thought that I would start listing everything that has made my birthday special, but I realize that I could go on and on and on and on, so I guess I will leave it at that and a big thank you to those that are reading that were a part of it.

I woke up in the middle of the night once this past week to find my kitten, Roscoe, re-situating himself. He has taken up residence on the bed at night which is an adventure. (He squeaks, snores, and wanders) Acorn, our older, adorable, neurotic cat used to sleep on the bed, but she has chosen to sleep elsewhere now that Roscoe has discovered it (that makes me sad, I hope that she isn't sad). Anyway, I digress. I was only about 45.2% awake, but I was conscious enough to realize that Roscoe put his head on my shoulder and then put one arm around one side of my neck and the other around the other side of my neck. He was hugging me!!! I was suddenly 8 years old wanting to giggle and tell everyone that my kitten was hugging me. It wasn't too comfortable, but it was so sweet that I couldn't move. Daniel turned over right then and I took it to mean that he was awake and I couldn't contain myself "Daniel, Daniel, Roscoe is hugging me (add in a lot of little giggles). He is always so good with humoring me..."That's nice, Jenny" And then I feel asleep and dreamed that a duck flew in my car window while I was driving and he wouldn't leave and he was tame and we kept him. I was concerned, however, that he might be missing his family, but I didn't know how to find them. When I woke up, I told Daniel and he said that Simon would be a nice name for a duck. I miss Simon. He was a good duck.

I think Simon is a fine name for a duck.

P.S. Erica and I spent time weeding in our front yard. It was more like cutting down a forest, but I thought of you. We blared Chris Tomlin through the windows and yanked all manner of things out of the ground. Unfortunately our lawn is full of weeds, but we don't own the place.

Yes, I found a new shirt, but it's not the shirt for Keith. I'll probably just wait for good Columbus shopping.

Love you.
