Mini Update

I know that it has been a long time, but my mind has been wandering too far to lasso it back here. Believe it or not, we don't have a definite word on the children yet. We have been told that the Interview went well and we were liked by all, but they did have to post the availability of the children and see if anyone else applied. The deadline for applicants was last Friday and we were hoping to hear something, but the phone has been silent. If no one else applied, the children will be placed with us. If anyone did apply, they will need to be interviewed.

In keeping with trying to get licensed as soon as possible, we did a 6 hour training on Thursday and will have 2 more hours tomorrow along with our Home Study tomorrow evening (contrary to what it sounds like, it is not a Home Inspection, but more of a lengthy interview process). Daniel was able to start on some of the things around the house that need to be altered and I have been distracted with regular house duties, but my mind has been full of all the other things that need to be done. Next on the Licensing Agenda for me is getting our Medical Information written down and getting our respective Doctors to fill out some paperwork.

The children have been on my mind a lot too. Whether they are placed with us or not, they are going to be going through a transition in the next few weeks and that cannot help but be very difficult for anyone, let alone little kids. That is what bothers me the most.
