Sisters Gone Wild - Fourth Installment

Day #1 Dinner

We dined in style at Nonna Lisa's, a lovely Italian Restaurant in Mackinaw. We pretty much had the place to ourselves, which was fine with us. We shared a delicious wood-fired pizza and awesome breadsticks. There was plenty to take back for the next day's lunch. We felt like such grown-ups dining together like that.

Pro's & Con's of Vacationing in Mackinaw in May

Con: Neither Miniature Golf establishment received the memo that we were going to be there and therefore were not open for the season
Pro: Kids aren't out of school yet, so there aren't tons of kids running around
Con: Apparently every school in Michigan plans an End-Of-The-Year field trip to Mackinaw during May so there were tons of unexpected children and teens running around everywhere!
Pro: It isn't very busy at all, so you don't have to deal with crowds and the employees are bored and usually appreciate chatting.
Con: The season is just beginning so many of the employees are new to their jobs and the area and are a little clueless to what they are doing.
Pro: Note above con and think of all the fun pranks we could pull
Con: Most shops close in the early evening, thwarting are need to continually shop.

Day #1 Conclusion

We were able to do a little bit of shopping at some of the brave stores that stayed open later and we each indulged in a Root Beer Slushie at Devon's Delight (and made a new friend in the process). In a silly little aside, we both would tend to ponder and ponder whenever we ordered at a restaurant or got a snack and 9 times out of 10, we would just get the exact same thing. We are such dorks! We then called it a night as all of the excitement had given us both a headache and we needed to rest up for the coming excitement.

Jen, my sister and I do the same thing with ordering. We take forever and then get the same thing. We sort of have an agreement now--if we are hovering around two things, one will order one item and the other chooses the second item. Then we share. It's funny how similar our tastes are. Except she hates pepper and I LOVE it.
